(ECNS) -- A media delegation visited the wind turbine blade production base of CF WindPower (Xinjiang) Co., Ltd. in Changji, northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.

"Each blade is 108 meters long, equivalent to the height of a 36-story building, and weighs nearly 35 metric tons," Wei Yi, a staff member at the company, said in an interview with China News Network. The blades are currently among the largest onshore wind turbine blades manufactured in Xinjiang.

Established in Changji in late 2022, the company has focused on the Xinjiang market over the past three years, making technological breakthroughs in wind turbine blade production. Blade lengths have increased from 93 meters and 99 meters to 108 meters, and the company is now working toward the mass production of blades exceeding 110 meters.

The company has benefited from Xinjiang's regional advantages and favorable business environment. Its base in Changji has shortened transportation distances for wind power equipment within the region, improving supply efficiency and reducing logistics costs.

The company's rapid development has also benefited from local policy support and talent services. Preferential policies for enterprises have been effectively implemented, with targeted subsidies for factory rentals and equipment purchases helping to ease the financial pressure on the newly established company and reduce production costs.

"Based in Xinjiang, we are looking farther afield," a company representative said. "We plan to further expand in the local market and export our blades to Central Asia."

With strong winds sweeping across the Gobi, rows of giant blades stand ready for deployment. These 100-plus-meter-long blades are helping Xinjiang's manufacturing capabilities reach broader markets.
